My first blog
Hello, world.
This is Benson Yeung posting from Hong Kong. I’m a general surgeon in his forties. My obsessions are family, work, health, wealth, running, my dog, reading and writing. The order of these changes from time to time. Fifteen years ago, it was family first. Ten years ago, it was work first. Five years ago, it was running first. Earlier this year, it was definitely writing first. From last month till now, my prime concerns have been wealth, or whatever’s left of it, and health (now that I won’t be retiring for a long long time).
I was born in Hong Kong. I went to Sydney, Australia for university education in the seventies. I returned to Hong Kong in the eighties and lived in Sydney again for a couple of years in the nineties. For the past sixteen years, I have been living in Hong Kong, through the bloom and gloom, of the return of sovereignty to China, the SARS, and economic pick-up and lately the financial tsunami.
I have been practicing surgery since 1986. In the mid-nineties, I did a master’s degree in health and hospital management. These experiences and studies, together with my hobbies of reading and writing, had started me blogging. I have my own blog at http://bensonyeung.com and a writing page with hubpages at http://hubpages.com/profile/Benson+Yeung.
This blog at Today.com is a new endeavor. I simply cannot resist the thought of being the writer of a site called hongkong.com.today while the choice is still there.
Here you would find me blogging about Hong Kong, myself and my obsessions.
You are invited to join today.com by clicking on a widget if, like me, you want to have your little private table by the corner, to write and have your coffee.
On top of blogging about my obsessions, here you will also find health and fitness tips, as will as tips on how not to invest your money foolishly, like what I did.
(I would have retired.)
