Mirror, Mirror On The Wall

Published by bensonyeung at 1:22 pm under Hong Kong Edit This

Who is the biggest sucker of all?
Last Saturday, I went to a clearance sale held by Lenovo IBM computers. I was surprised to see a one hour queue. As it took me thirty minutes to get there and ten minutes to get there from where I parked, I decided to join the queue. After one hour, I was eventually in the show-room. There weren’t too many items left and most carried a 20% discount, rather than the 50% to 70% advertized. I bought an SL500 model notebook at HK$4999 and was glad to have snatched the very last piece left. My experience, or feel, at the new notebook had been great, that was before I read the newest ad today by Lenovo IBM. They are doing their pre-Christmas sale on the SL500 model, now priced at HK$4988, just four days after their so called “everything has to go” sale. I am still happy with the notebook. I am not unhappy with the price I paid either. I am most unhappy with the fact that I had to queue up at the clearance sale held thirty minutes away from the central business district, and the lack of sensitivity of Lenovo IBM Hong Kong. Enterprises flourish by keeping their existing customers happy, rather than making them feel like suckers. This blog of mine with such a high density of the tags IBM, Lenovo, SL500, computer notbooks, etc, will eventually get read by many readers interested in the IBM notebooks. However, I don’t think this has been positive advertising to them. Now, just who may that biggest sucker be?
